Had an amazing two-week tour with my colleagues in Quarteto Nuevo where we premiered a new composition by our saxophone player for the state of Alaska. Along with wonderful concerts and the chance to see Bears, Moose, and the most amazing scenery I’ve ever experienced, we also got to give a few great workshops spreading the word about improvisation, world music, Jazz, and of course, doing it on the cello while making some great friends and meeting some wonderful people and fellow musicians along the way! Can’t wait to come back to Juneau, Haines, Homer, Kodiak, Skagway, and Anchorage and to see more of the state as well!
